Mommy & Me: Post Natal AquaFit


Come and join us in the Leisure Pool for a fun, baby friendly aquafit class for babies ages 4-12 months! You don’t need to be a swimmer to add a little cardio and muscle endurance to your week, while playing with your little one in the warm water and making new friends!

members $55 | non-members $60

Children 35 months (approximately three years) and under must wear protective, water-resistant swimwear, i.e: swim diapers.

Aqua Jogging


This adult fitness class takes place in the deep end of the main pool and is for persons who love to jog/run while reaping in the benefit of the water’s resistance and the low impact on the joints. Whether you are looking to lose weight, maintain running endurance, or you have some injuries preventing you from doing your usual workouts, water jogging is an excellent option. Aqua joggers will be doing a verity of jogging drills. The use of weighted and drag equipment will be incorporated into classes.

Aqua Remedy – Level One


This beginner class is for persons with chronic pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, limited mobility, and hip and knee problems. It will be a gentle aquatic fitness class taking place in warm, waist-deep water geared towards developing strength, increasing range of motion, functional movements, flexibility, and a mild cardio workout.

Aqua Remedy – Level Two


This intermediate class is for persons with chronic pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, limited mobility, and hip and knee problems. It will be a gentle aquatic fitness class taking place in cool chest-deep water of the main pool, geared towards the continuation of development of strength, increasing range of motion, functional movements, and flexibility.

Prerequisite: Previously taken Aqua Remedy - Level One, and/or recommended by instructor.

Swim Fit (13+ years)


Catering to all levels of adult swimming ability, this program provides the structure you need to stay focused, the fun to stay motivated and the workouts to get in shape. You don’t need to be a former athlete or even mildly competitive to participate, but you must be able to swim two lengths of the pool comfortably to join.

Adult Swimmer 1 (16+)


Swimmers will work towards being able to complete short distance swims (10-15 m) on their front and back. They will work through swimming stroke fundamentals such as floats, rolls, glides, and kicks. Swimmers will develop their underwater skills as they continue to build their confidence in the water.

Adult Swimmer 2 (16+)


Swimmers will practice different entries into deep water. As they work on building strength and endurance, they will aim to be able to tread water for 1-2 minutes. New underwater skills are introduced. Swimmers will achieve the Swim to Survive standard by being able to roll into deep water, tread water for 1 minute, and swim 50 m. In addition to improving their front crawl, back crawl, and whip kick, swimmers will be introduced to breaststroke.

Adult Swimmer 3 (16+)


Adult swimmers will work towards mastering front crawl, back crawl, and breaststroke. Challenging skills such as shallow dives, stride entries, and compact jumps will be completed as well as a focus on developing lifesaving kicks. Swimmers can expect to improve their fitness levels as they work on completing 300m workouts and 25-50m sprints.
